  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • water for consistency

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss diced apples with cinnamon and sugar in a bowl; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg; mix in milk and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients; stir gently until just combined. Fold in the prepared apples carefully.
  6. Spoon dollops of batter onto the baking sheet with space between each fritter.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and water to create the glaze.
