Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with a teaspoon of sugar. Let sit until frothy (about 10 minutes).
  2. Add remaining sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs to the yeast mixture; gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  4. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; roll out dough into a rectangle and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon mixture and blueberries.
  5. Roll up tightly and cut into 12 pieces; place in a greased baking dish and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. For frosting, beat together cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth; spread over warm rolls before serving.
