Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of cooking water, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter; add minced garlic and sauté briefly. Whisk in flour, then gradually add milk while whisking until thickened.
  5. Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan until melted. Add cooked pasta and beef mixture to combine thoroughly.
  6. Adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water if needed. Serve garnished with parsley.
