  • 1 ½ cups Panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 Tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 6 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13-inch casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Layer shredded chicken in the bottom of the dish, followed by sliced ham and Swiss cheese.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in Dijon mustard, lemon juice (if using), garlic powder, salt, nutmeg (if using), cayenne pepper (if using), and flour to form a paste. Gradually add milk while whisking until smooth and thickened.
