  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 7-ounce container plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 teaspoons garam masala (for the sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix yogurt, garam masala, lemon juice, black pepper, and ginger. Add chicken chunks and coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat a nonstick pan over high heat and sear the marinated chicken until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the pan.
  3. In the same pan over medium heat, combine tomato sauce, cream, garlic, and remaining spices; simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Add seared chicken back into the sauce; stir occasionally until heated through.
