- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter (cubed, room temperature)
- 1/4 cup dulce de leche (for frosting)
- 2 oz dark chocolate (for ganache)
- 2 oz heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round baking pans.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, buttermilk, hot water, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry mixtures slowly until fully incorporated.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
