  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the rigatoni in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté diced onion in olive oil for 3–4 minutes; add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Brown the ground beef in the skillet for about 6–8 minutes; drain excess grease.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (optional), salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Add beef broth and heavy cream; simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Gradually stir in Parmesan until melted; then add mozzarella until smooth.
  7. Toss cooked rigatoni with the sauce, using reserved pasta water to adjust consistency as needed.
