- 1 cup butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup Fireball whiskey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, sweetened condensed milk, Fireball whiskey, and salt. Mix well.
- Cook over medium heat until boiling without stirring. Monitor until it reaches 246°F (firm ball stage), about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract quickly until smooth.
- Pour the hot caramel into the prepared pan and let it cool completely at room temperature for 2 to 4 hours.
- Once cooled, cut into squares using a buttered knife and wrap each piece in wax paper.
