  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by mixing Greek yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, and spices in a bowl. Coat the chicken pieces well and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil and butter over medium heat. Sauté onions until golden brown; add garlic and ginger for another minute.
  3. Stir in the remaining spices and tomato paste; cook until fragrant. Add crushed tomatoes and marinated chicken.
  4. Simmer covered for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
