  • 1 1/2 lb chuck roast or flank steak (sliced into thin strips)
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 lb broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Start by heating canola oil in the Instant Pot on 'Saute' mode until shimmering.
  2. Add sliced beef in batches, browning on all sides.
  3. Stir in beef broth, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil until well combined.
  4. Lock the lid on the pot and set to cook at high pressure for 10 minutes.
  5. Once done, perform a quick pressure release by turning the valve to venting.
  6. Mix cornstarch with water until smooth, then stir it into the pot to thicken the sauce.
  7. Select 'Saute' mode again, add broccoli florets, and cook for about 3 minutes until tender-crisp.
