  • 2 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups peanut butter
  • 9 cups powdered sugar
  • 67 tbsp water or milk
  • 6 Reese's, chopped
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 Reese's, cut in half
  • Crumbling Reese's

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking pans.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in one bowl. In another bowl, whisk milk, oil, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth.
  3. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients and gradually add hot water until smooth.

  6. Assemble by layering cake with frosting and chopped Reese's between layers.
  7. Prepare chocolate ganache by heating cream and stirring in chocolate chips until smooth; drizzle over assembled cake.
  8. Decorate with additional Reese's pieces.
