  • 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari (for gluten-free)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp ground smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water and slice it thinly.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, vegetable oil, maple syrup, liquid smoke, dijon mustard, smoked paprika, and garlic powder to create the marinade.
  3. Submerge tofu slices in the marinade for at least 15 minutes (or overnight in the fridge for enhanced flavor).
  4. Preheat your oven to 355°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Arrange marinated tofu slices on the baking sheet, drizzle with leftover marinade, and bake for 20 minutes. Flip the slices and bake for an additional 15 minutes until crispy.
